Chamber exhibit features Ada German

We're delighted to welcome Ada German as our featured artist for March and April. After painting colorful scenes and faces of the Southwest, Ada now enjoys painting the awe-inspiring beauty of the Northwest. She combines realism with impressionism in acrylic or oil on canvas or panel board.  Her work includes landscapes, seascapes, florals, and portraits.

Ada was introduced to oil painting in Oregon through the Department of Recreation. She learned the basics of oil and acrylic painting from European-taught artist, Richard Grove of Ashland. A move to Scottsdale gave her the opportunity to study portraiture from renowned muralist and portrait artist Jay Datus, who was the founder of the Kachina School of Art. It was there that she completed a two-year Master Artist Painting Course.

Ada was active in several art associations and a juried member of the Arizona Art Alliance. Since moving to Idaho, she's become active in the Coeur d'Alene Art Association and currently serves on their board. Ada's artwork may be seen on her website at www.adagerman.gallery and in the Frame of Mind Gallery in Coeur d'Alene.

Her paintings are also found in private collections across the country and in Russia, Holland, Australia, and the Bahamas.
