April 7, 2019 Youth Update
Hi Y'All Saints:

Greetings as we prepare for Holy Week and Easter, and many thanks to all of our youth who will be reading, acolyting, singing, and participating in the Better the Block Event as we get ready to welcome thousands of people to our campus in the coming days.

It's not too late to jump into one of the many events and services coming up, and I encourage every youth and family to consider choosing one Holy Week gathering you have not taken part in before and to try it out this year. You might be surprised what you learn and experience as we once again remember and celebrate Jesus' love poured out for the world through his death and resurrection.

In particular, I want to highlight a new offering this year called
"In the Garden: A Vigil for the City," on Saturday April 20 at 7:30pm, which will be a casual, youth friendly service in Piedmont Park.  The service is inspired by the first centuries of Christianity when pilgrims to Jerusalem would celebrate Easter by lighting a bonfire and singing, dancing, and feasting into the night.  Don't worry, we will definitely NOT be staying up all night, but we do hope to capture something of that same spirit.  All are welcome, and a dessert reception will follow.

I look forward to being with you as we share in these most sacred days.
The Rev. Zack Nyein
Associate Rector

Join us in the midst of our city in Piedmont Park as we unite our hearts to the earliest followers of Jesus in an ancient service of story and song, shadows and light, creatively imagined for our time and place. This is another great opportunity for families to experience a holy night of song and prayer together.  You are welcome to bring a tasty treat to share for dessert following the service.  Learn More
