GOATS SQUEEK AHEAD IN MARCH MADNESS
Goats 36 Chickens 35
With just a few days left in the game that benefits Episcopal Relief & Development programs, the Goats with an aggressive offense have pulled just ahead of the Chickens who are in “fowl” trouble. Be sure to get your animal in the game as soon as possible; it is neck-and-neck, so we may have to go to “overtime”! Turn in your pink envelope with the form and your check, and don’t forget to name your animal. Your animal will be posted on the March Madness board. Just $80 for a goat or small flock of chickens, or any amount, can mean survival and an opportunity to thrive for a widow or family. Questions? Contact Hilda Jones at
hildalittlejones@cox.net

Fill up your Blue Box!
UNITED THANK OFFERING SUNDAY Sunday, April 29
For more than 125 years the UTO has encouraged an attitude of gratitude, collecting blessings in the form of coins and bills. The season of Lent is a wonderful time to pick up the spiritual practice of gratitude! Lent is not just a time to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ but a time to show thanks for its blessing! Hymn 145 beautifully calls to mind this sentiment;
“…Lent calls to prayer, to trust and dedication; God brings new beauty near reply with love to love most high… grief is not Lent's goal; but to be led to where God’s glory flashes, his beauty to come near. Make clear where truth and light appear…“ The next time you’re noting thanks for a great parking spot in your gratitude journal or sending up a prayer of thanksgiving for a teenager who did the dishes without being asked, drop some coins or bills of thanks into your Blue Box. Pass those blessings on to others! UTO boxes are available on the information table in the Parish Office. Don’t just count your blessings, share them!

ALTAR FLOWER MEMORIALS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available on the information table in the Parish Office.
