Fairmont North Tustin Students Notch Medals at Academic Pentathlon
The Orange County Academic Pentathlon program encourages and rewards academic excellence among students of all ability levels (teams comprise students with A, B, and C grade-point averages.) Students in public and private schools compete as individuals and team members in a series of five academic tests in math, literature/essay, history, science, and fine arts (visual arts and music.) The program culminates with an exciting awards ceremony to recognize top-scoring teams and students.

Our 7th grade team consisted of eight team members and one alternate member. Every student won medals, and out of the nine students, five of them achieved overall individual medals. Including team medals, the nine students brought home 48 medals, with placements of first to fourth place. Pola P. received all first-place medals, even in the Overall individual category.
