The office is closed during City observed holidays.
Don't forget to tell your boating friends and family about the new BOGO 1.5.

When you refer a new customer, they rent a slip for ½ price for 2018!!

When they rent again in 2019, you'll be eligible for a discount equal to 25% of their slip fee.
  
Please contact the Marina office if you notice that a dock needs repair or maintenance, a dock light is out, etc.
All dock gates should be kept closed to help ensure the security of the boats and belongings of all marina patrons.
 
If a dock gate is open, shut it.
 
If you see suspicious activity, please contact the office or the Rock Island Police Department if it's after hours.
Fishing off the docks is not allowed in the marina.
 
This is to prevent hooks from getting caught in neighboring boat canvas, getting stuck in the dock frame work where it could injure workers making repairs and to keep lost fishing line from getting wrapping around a prop.   
Grilling is permitted only when using an approved electric grill that is properly attached to the boat.
 
As a safety measure, the fire code does not permit other types of grilling in the marina on land or on the docks.
Sunset Marina Flood Forecast
The current river level forecast for the Mississippi River at Sunset Marina is 9 feet by later this week, so there are no flooding concerns at this time.  You can check the river level by going to rigov.org/marina and clicking the link under FAQs.

2018 Slip Billing
The first installment for the 2018 season was due on March 30th.

Any marina leaseholder or Rock Island resident may apply for appointment to the Boaters Advisory Committee.  An application for appointment is available online at rigov.org/marina, select Boaters Advisory Committee and then click the link under FAQs. You may also call the Marina at 309-732-2282 or the Mayor's office at 309-732-2012.
 
BAC meetings are held once a month. If you are interested in attending a meeting, the meeting dates as well as copies of the agendas are posted on the bulletin board in the Marina office and on the City's website. Copies of the meeting minutes are available online at rigov.org/marina.  
 
Fuel Discount Stickers
Stop in to pick up your 2018 fuel discount sticker from the office. 

All 2017 winter customers will receive a 15¢ per gallon discount during 2018, but you'll need your sticker.

Trailer Storage
If you're interested in trailer storage during the summer, stop in and complete the application.

Space is limited and is first come, first served.
Cabela's National Team Championship Event
Watch for information about the Cabela's National Team Championship walleye tournament event to be held in Lake Potter and Sunset Marina! 

The dates are May 16 - 19. 

Overnight slip rental will be ½ price during the event!
Boating Skills and Seamanship
Boating skills and seamanship classes will be offered at the Coast Guard Auxiliary at Sunset Marina beginning on April 19th.  Contact Jack or Judy at 309-786-5980 for registration information.

If you have an emergency situation after the office has closed, you may call the regular office number

At the recorded message, select 2 and you will be transferred to the water plant.

 

They will contact the appropriate person for marina emergencies.
