Virtue of the Month...Faithfulness!
Faithfulness means loyal, true and constant. A faithful life is one lived in the presence of God. It needs to involve an awareness of God's presence in our everyday experiences.
Dear Parents,
Today we celebrated the
Crowning of the Blessed Mother
at a school wide Mass hosted by the second and eighth grades. First Holy Communion recipients dressed in their special attire. Our graduating eighth grade students wore their caps and gowns. Please click here to see their pictures.
On Wednesday we celebrated the grandparents of all of our children on Grandparents Day with a lovely Tea and Plant Sale. The kindergarten students hosted the 9:00 Mass followed by a parent breakfast served in Stapleton Hall. Later in the day we enjoyed our annual Spring Concert led by our music teacher, Mr. Patrie. The Band Club entertained us by playing various instruments. This was followed with a wonderful school wide choral tribute to the Beatles. The theme of the concert was All You Need Is Love! Please click here to see pictures.
Please remember Car Raffle Tickets are still available in the main office.

St. A's girls win at Lauralton Hall Science Olympics Competition.
The 6th grade team of Bernadette McNamara, Natasha Lilly, Kelly Dunne and Sofie Brauweiler won 2nd place, and the 7th grade team of Savanna Shetler, Isabella Morris, and Caroline Mancini took 1st place.
The girls were given three STEM problems to solve, all with a 30 minute time restraint. The team that completed the task in the least amount of time won that event.
The Lauralton Hall Science Olympics is a semi-annual event in Milford, CT. This weekend competition usually brings 20 to 30 teams of girls together. St. Aloysius has been competing for the last four years.

School Safety Reminder
With the beautiful weather finally upon us, we want to remind our families of some of our campus safety policies.
Dismissal
We are asking all parents and caregivers to continue to closely monitor the safety of the children on the playground after school hours. As a reminder, once a student has been dismissed to a parent or caregiver, the safety of the student is the responsibility of that adult. Therefore the school is not responsible for any injuries that might occur on the school campus "after hours." In addition, our parking lot is very active so please keep a close eye on your children (and others' children) when walking or driving through the lot. Another gentle reminder: children should not disturb any gardens or landscaping on the St. Aloysius School or church properties.
Pets
Please note that we follow the New Canaan Public School (NCPS) policy regarding pets on campus:
No animals, including dogs or other pets, are permitted inside the school building or on the school grounds. Exceptions: service animals trained to assist a human, such as a seeing-eye dogs or animals used for NCPS sponsored programs.
We thank you in advance for enforcing this policy.
