Ohio State continues rabies mass vaccination training in Ethiopia
Since 2013, Ohio State has supported rabies prevention and elimination work in Ethiopia. Through building ongoing relationships with multiple partners in Ethiopian government and academic institutions, grass roots activities continue to make an impact.

One recent example is GOHi's rabies vaccination training led by Maria Belu, DVM, that occurred in late January. The event resulted in 12 trainees receiving hands-on instruction, and the vaccination of nearly 400 dogs and was a collaboration with  Global Alliance for Rabies Control.

The training was made possible by a donation in memory of Bob Gochnauer, DVM, a 1975 graduate of the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. Gochnauer always put the people and animals in his community first - now that community is a little bigger. GOHi would like to thank Gochnauer and his family for the legacy of protecting and promoting health for our global community.
