The Houston Global Health Collaborative (HGHC) is proud to announce the 2018 GLOCAL Conference in partnership with Rice Business on March 9-10, 2018. This meeting is an annual gathering of interdisciplinary professionals with a passion for global health innovation and advancement. This year our tracks include Global Surgery, Innovations and Sustainability, Disaster Recovery, Local Opportunities, Healthcare Business, and Global Health Humanities.

The Consortium for Affordable Medical Technologies (CAMTech), housed at Mass General Hospital Global Health, identifies pressing clinical needs from the field, crowdsources innovative solutions, and accelerates the cycle from idea to patient impact. During the Gun Violence Prevention Challenge Summit & Hack-a-thon, CAMTech will employ a public health approach to gun safety and violence prevention by
generating innovations that can address gun safety, mental health, community resilience and policy. The Challenge Summit will be held at the Edward Kennedy Institute on April 13 and the Hack-a-thon will be held at the MGH Simches Research Center on April 14-15.
