STUDENT MISSIONS SILENT AUCTION DINNER

MAY 19

First Church Student Ministry is taking two groups on two separate mission trips this summer. One team is going to the Dominican Republic and the other team is going to Houston, Texas. On May 19th, the Student Mission Teams will be hosting a Student Missions Fundraiser in Robey Hall at 6:00pm. ALL DONATIONS will be to support mission trips and scholarships to Warren Willis Camp. Come support our Student Ministry!

MEN'S BREAKFAST

All men are invited to join us on Saturday, May 19th, at 8:30am in the Fellowship Hall for a Men's Breakfast. Come and have some good food and great fellowship!

30 SOMETHING SMALL GROUP BEACH DAY

If you're between the ages of 25-40 please join us for some fellowship and fun in the sun! We'll be meeting on Saturday May 19th at Pompano Beach Pavilion #3 from 11am-2pm. Bring a dish to share. If you have any questions, call Ashley at 954-501-9389.

FIRST CHURCH CHOIR AT CARNEGIE HALL

FIRST CHURCH WOMEN MONTHLY MEETING

MAY 21

The Women of First Church monthly meeting will be held Monday May 21 at 6pm in the Grace Room. This is a date change - due to holiday, (future meetings will resume on the 4th Monday of the month). This meeting is open to all women. Further information on the upcoming retreat at the beach July 27-28 will be discussed. This is a meeting you will want to attend!

M & M Circle

The M & M Circle will meet at 12pm on Monday, May 21st at Runyon's Restaurant located at 9810 W Sample Road in Coral Springs. Their phone number is 954-752-2333. Reservations are requested. SELF DEFENSE TRAINING FOR YOUTH

JUNE 13

The First Church Youth Program is partnering with the Coral Springs Police Department to introduce a self-defense program to Youth in grades 6-12. This dynamic, hands-on introductory class will be held on Wednesday, June 13th from 6pm - 8pm upstairs in Youth Fellowship Hall. Students will engage in discussion on situational awareness and be educated on crime trends affecting their age group. Then, students will participate in safety drills and learn self-defense moves. We are honored to have Officer Ashley Kozlowski of the Coral Springs Police Department teach our Youth how to utilize the knowledge, skills and training so students feel empowered to protect themselves. We are seeking committed, friendly volunteers to serve in our new Welcome Center, our parking ministry, greeters, ushers, and our new security team. Training will be provided for all. In most cases, we are only asking for a once or twice per month commitment. POST OFFICE FOOD DRIVE

A big thank you to Edible Extras for making it possible for the First Church food pantry to receive a truck load of food from the Post Office food drive. Our pantry is over flowing. For the month of May, we are requesting pasta, pasta sauce, 1lb bag of rice, and canned black beans.

Bring your contributions on Sunday and put them in the designated cart.

Volunteers are needed to greet visitors, hand out Bible verses, and/or chaperone the children's table at Food Share (1st & 3rd Fridays of the month at 4:15-6:30pm).
