CLUB NEWS

Monday, May 28th

El Gancho will be open regular business hours.

Last Fitness Classes of the day:
"Strength & Power" Cycle Class at 12:15pm
Yoga "Active Practice" at 1:15pm


Summer will soon be in full swing at El Gancho

Please review and be familiar with some of our key policies.

1.Guests must be accompanied by a member unless prior arrangements have been made by the member though the office or front desk.

2.Guests age 21 or over who are Santa Fe residents or who reside within a 50 mile radius are limited to three (3) visits. At this point interest in membership must be determined.

3. Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed in any area of El Gancho.

4.Glassware is not allowed in pool areas.

5. Lap swimmers have priority.

6. Please shower before entering pools and hot tubs.

7. Please observe a 30 min. time limit when others are waiting to use cardio machines.

8. Allow others to "work in" on a piece of gym equipment or weight area while resting between sets.

9. Please be conscious of "Cell-Free" Zones.

10.Please reserve all courts through the front desk.

FITNESS NEWS 
Keeping up with the Industry 


Barbara Duke, NASM Certified Trainer, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Functional Fitness Specialist, Posture & Mobility Specialist and Senior Strength and Conditioning Specialist, attended 8 hours of continuing educational programs that provided live sessions and pre-approved credits earning a second Specialty Certificate as a "Functional Fitness Specialist."

The schedule for this Exercise ETC Inc. workshop for fitness professionals included the following four new programs:
"Core Training:  Working Hard or Hardly Working?"
"High Intensity Training:  When Less is More"
"Functional Training:  Myths & Mystique"
"Weight Management:  Secrets & Lies"

The workshop combined physical activities, including vertical core training, and new trends to help improve stability, movement, performance and conditioning goals with better results and less over training .

Free Beginner Cycling Class

Janice will be demonstrating a free beginner cycling class that will be a great opportunity for you to learn cycling techniques. This class will prepare you to participate in any cycling class we offer on our fitness schedule.
