February is particularly delightful. Trees are beginning to bloom, the weather is perfectly balmy, orchids are flowering and we are all grateful for the beautiful lifestyle we are so fortunate to enjoy.
This month we pay a special tribute to Laura's husband, Rodney Cole, who passed away in early November. Rodney was a patient observer, teacher and photographer of BallenIsles natural bounty, particularly its amazing birds.
Of course catch up on Real Estate news with recent sales, trends and our featured property.
Happy Valentine's Day!

BallenIsles Birds
Rodney Cole was born in London, England and always appreciated the beauty of the environment around him. After a trip to the Galapagos Islands in 1998, he became an avid photographer, beginning with film and soon after migrating to digital media. Quite the senior enthusiast, he taught himself to navigate a computer and to use sophisticated photography applications. He was often seen seen in the early morning hours in his golf cart quietly waiting for the perfect shot of an elegant bird. With a keen eye and enduring patience, he captured the unique world of birds in the BallenIsles community. He was passionate about protecting the delicate balance of our unique, natural environment and often consulted with Florida Fish and Wildlife biologists to ensure its continued health. Above all else, he reaped great joy from observing the richness around him and sharing his avocation.

REAL ESTATE TRENDS
BallenIsles Sales
As our newsletter readers know by now, we are generally optimistic and like to see the silver lining in just about any market scenario. The equity market tumble and low inventory has led to a scramble to snap up desirable properties before another buyer steps in. There continues to be very strong demand from buyers and consumer confidence remains positive.
Buyers, who have cash to make a swift purchase or strong equity in their current residence that can quickly go to work for them, seem willing to seek just the right property. It seems that the buyers' mentality is that prices will indeed maintain an upward path, but not at a pace that makes them uncomfortable...yet.
