Rite Aid Campaign

Thank you to our local Rite Aid stores for their ongoing support. As a member of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Rite Aid holds an annual fundraising campaign to support their local children's hospital, Valley Children's. As of May 7th, Rite Aid has raised more than $47,000 during their campaign. There are still a few more days left to support Valley Children's; be sure to visit before May 19th to make a donation. Thank you, Rite Aid!

ECMO Picnic
Valley Children's hosted a picnic for our former extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) patients and their families, celebrating those who survived their profound critical illness and also remembering those children who passed. ECMO is temporary life-support modality for profoundly critically ill infants and children that can take over the function of the heart and lungs, allowing them a better opportunity to recover. Thank you to Dr. Harry Kallas for his ongoing support and for his leadership of the ECMO program. Having ECMO available at Valley Children's allows critically ill patients to get the treatment they need closer to home and has many other benefits for the hospital and the Central Valley's kids.

Kids Giving Back: Carter Williams
We would like to thank Carter for her recent donation of over $4,000 to  Valley Children's  Hospital. Carter is a cardiology patient who was born with an undetected faulty heart valve. At three days old, Carter had eight hours of open heart surgery that saved her life. As a grateful patient, Carter decided she wanted to give back. To raise funds, Carter generously donated her talents and put together a harp concert to benefit the Hospital. Her cardiologists, Dr. Caton and Dr. Petrossian, were on hand to accept the donation. Thank you, Carter, for your generosity and to all those that attended to make this concert such a success!
