Downtown Parking Opens Up
Have you seen them? Attractive new signs clearly identify downtown's public parking lots and also designate the time limits (if any) for individual stalls. It's much easier to use off-street parking if you know where it is! In addition, a new two-tiered lease system opens up many spaces for evening and weekend shopping, dining, and events, where previously those stalls were not available (although used only during Monday through Friday work hours). For more information about downtown parking, a map, and information on leased spaces, go to click here.
Earth Day Clean Up
Participants of all ages are invited to come out for the 18th annual Earth Day Clean Up on Saturday, April 21. Volunteers can register at the Port of Burlington beginning at 8:30 AM to get
t-shirts, water bottles, trash bags and gloves. After going out to pick up litter throughout the community, they return to the Port for a free lunch, music, door prizes, and a group photo. Individuals, families, businesses, church groups, and organizations are all encouraged to lend a hand in caring for our piece of earth. For more information, call Tabetha Gerdner
at 319-753-8151.
