Oneg Duty Update |
Chaverim,
We will be opening up Oneg sign up
just after Memorial Day to give people a chance to pick their dates before everyone takes off on vacation. If you have ever thought you might want to be a Captain and run an Oneg, this is the year to consider it! Several Saturdays, some Fridays and sometimes during the week, this past year a few weeks went without a Captain. Things run much smoother with a Captain in place!!
We are doing all we can to staff every Oneg and have a Captain in place every Oneg. If you have ever desired to be a conductor, director or all-around cheerleader, this job gives you a chance practice. Oneg is a key feature of our unique and wonderful congregation. I invite you to please consider stepping out of your comfort zone this year and take charge of an Oneg. We provide you with all of the tools at your fingertips and you can ask for support and coaching if you want it. I am happy to answer questions. Don't be shy!
Thank you for signing up and participating in this wonderful tradition as part of this community.
PS - We have had to rescind our previous incentives that captains are exempted from duty for the rest of the year. We need every member to participate a minimum of twice a year in some capacity.
