Rev. Laurie's Message
This Easter season, which lasts for 50 days culminating with Pentecost on May 20, is a joyous time in the Church year. During this season, we continue to give thanks for and celebrate Jesus' Resurrection. It is this Resurrection that gives us the hope and faith in our own resurrection to eternal life. During Eastertide, we will continue to engage Holy Scripture, reading the Acts of the Apostles in concert with the Episcopal Church worldwide. I am available every Sunday at 10:00 am in my office for conversation concerning what you've been learning.
As I reflect during this Easter season on our time together, I consider all that each of you contributes to God's mission for St. Catherine's. You are each a blessing. From the beginning of our time together, you have been willing to treat each other with love and respect -- to rejoice together at God's Grace and to engage each other when there was something difficult. You have mirrored a healthy community. For that I am eternally grateful. You are a blessing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! God is good and faithful.

Conversations with our Canon
During April, Canon Catherine will be available to meet with us twice more, on April 4 and April 25. Although the time may not be ideal for some, we will be meeting from 4:45 to 6:15 to accommodate airline schedules so that she can be back in Las Vegas the same day. If you will be working and can't get to the church until 5:15 or 5:30, please come anyway. We value your input. This time with us will prove very important in putting together a profile of St. Catherine's for those who might be interested in being your next rector.
On the 4th, she will be exploring with us what St. Catherine's values are, and we'll again have pizza for those in attendance. Since we may be meeting in the sanctuary due to the number present, we're trying to limit food to finger food so that it will be easier to manage. Please join the conversation and let us know your thoughts about our community going forward.

Senior Bundles: Thank You
Thank you to all of you who participated in the Senior Bundles collection in March. The items were delivered on Tuesday, March 27th to Life Care Center. Again we were thanked by the staff for all of the items we donated. They are so glad to receive the items that will bring some happiness to their clients. And again, I thank you all for your continued generosity. We will again have a collection in September.

Baby Bundles:
S
haring Our Blessings with Others
By Ann Crase
Baby Bundles is composed of and supported by members of St. Catherine's and Trinity Episcopal Churches.
With items donated by both congregations, we assemble "Bundles" of layette items for St. Mary's and Renown hospitals. They are then distributed by hospital staff to disadvantaged new parents who have little or nothing for their newborn.
CURRENT NEEDS
- Girls' solid color pants
- Girls' bibs
- Boys' washcloths
- Boys' pants
- Boys' afghans or quilts
- Neutral-colored outfits and hats
- White onesies
- Diaper wipes
Any help with these items would be greatly appreciated. We still have enough diapers. Clothing should be between 0 and 6 months.
Monetary donations are always welcome, too. God Bless!
Questions? Contact Susan Lombardi at 329-2044 or Ann Crase at 356-1155.
