We have all been wondering when the rain will end and summer will arrive. Thank you to the dedicated dog walkers who make sure our canine friends get out to walk & sniff between raindrops! (And our great feline friends who loyally visit, rain or shine!) Hopefully the sun will be shining more than hiding and summer weather will officially arrive!
If you have some extra time:
We need a strong volunteer to shovel gravel into the outside kennels. If you can help with this, please see Phyllis.
We also need a volunteer to coordinate our T-shirts. We have a new logo and would like to offer apparel for sale, but need someone with organizational skills to do this for us. Please see Beth when she gets back if you can help with this.
Chris & Rocky wait
to go on air.
Recently we had some nice exposure in the Leader Times and KDKA-TV. Rocky was featured on Pittsburgh Today Live. Shelby was featured on the Take-Home Tuesday segment. Click
here to see Rocky's show. He was a perfect gentleman and we hope both he and Shelby go home soon!
Thanks for all that you do! See you around the shelter!

Upcoming Events
We need volunteers and raffle baskets for the following events. If you can help, see Phyllis. If you wish to donate a basket but don't want to make it up, just provide the items and they will be created!
For our golf outing, we need volunteers to collect donations of auction baskets and door prizes before the outing. The day of the event we need a few volunteers (who know something about golf) at the putting or drive contest.
If you can help, contact Henry at [email protected].
Also, please support these events by attending, and bringing your friends!
Orphans of the Storm is located in Armstrong County. We were established in 1969 to provide temporary shelter for unwanted and abused animals. We match lovable animals with loving forever homes, educate the public on humane, responsible care of all animals, and promote spaying and neutering to reduce companion animal overpopulation. Orphans of the Storm is a no-kill animal shelter. This means we euthanize an animal only if it is suffering with no hope to be cured, or if the animal is a danger to people or other animals.
