News and research
First responders and public safety officials in law enforcement, fire, emergency management and city governance are invited to attend the  Unmanned Aircraft Systems First Responder Symposium  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, at the Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus .
A Bachelor of Science in  robotics and automation engineering technology  is being launched at Kansas State Polytechnic beginning in fall 2018.
Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus  is partnering with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism to send 30 employees, including 12 law enforcement officers, through  unmanned aircraft systems training  from May through June.
Testing programs overseen by the Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus are now part of the Pan-Pacific UAS Test Range Complex, managed by the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Scholarship opportunities
Study Abroad
If you are interested in studying abroad in the Summer 2018 semester, the $5,000 Gilman scholarship is now open. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen who is pell grant eligible and who will do a study abroad program that is longer than 3 weeks. Thinking of attending KSU this summer? Once you have enrolled in all of your summer classes, fill out the Summer Financial Aid Application and get it submitted. We will determine if you have any financial aid (or scholarships) available to you this summer.
All Students
The Leaders Save Lives blood drive runs from June 1 to August 31 . This program is designed specifically for students ages 16-24 years old and allows them to host a blood drive and earn money and possibly win one of six $1,000 scholarships. If students want to work as a team there are limitations but options as well. Please contact Dené Sheridan in the Fiscal Services office if you are interested.
Campus life
Social work students enrolled in Macro Practice and Theory this semester had the opportunity to learn valuable professional skills while helping a youth program in need for their class final.
The First Generation Spotlight celebrates individuals on the Polytechnic Campus who were the first in their family to achieve the accomplishment of a bachelor's degree.
Technology
A technology-oriented collaboration device has been setup for trial use by students and instructors in the Stevens Flight Center.
