Top Economic Development News

Already, March has been a big month!  Everyone's bracket has been broken by UMBC and we are all proud of the Retrievers for setting history with their amazing upset!  We had the largest snow fall of the year on our first full day of spring and OED welcomed Frederick Innovative Technology Center Inc. (FITCI) to our building, ROOT. Now with FITCI on the first floor, our front door is open. Come stop by, met Britt (at our front desk) and tour our beautiful innovation center. Our Grand Opening of ROOT is set for March 29th so please  read more about our exciting business center at 118 North Market Street.

There's a lot of excitement and activity among companies too as we welcome big companies like Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies and Rainforest Distribution as the newest additions to the ever-growing list of companies who have made the choice to call Frederick County home. This month's newsletter also includes two stories on RoosterBio and Yakabod who have grown and expanded into unique, beautiful spaces. From college basketball, to snow, ROOT and to updates on our thriving business community, March has been incredibly exciting. I hope you'll find our stories as exciting as we do!

Sincerely,

Helen Propheter, Director
Frederick County Office of Economic Development
