CASY & MSCCN Boards Meet
On Friday, April 27, the CASY & MSCCN Boards convened at the Seattle IBM building. The boards discussed CASY & MSCCN successes as well as new business, including the NG Youth ChalleNGe Pilot, new partnerships, and the Love the Guard and Reserve programs.

The boards attended an i2 training that was occurring concurrently at the Seattle IBM building.

Prior to the board meetings, IBM and CASY attended the DirectEmployers Annual Meeting (#DEAM2018). IBM's Martin Laird and CASY's Stacy Bayton and Don Fried co-presented on Veteran employment, rapid training, careers in data intelligence, analysis, and cybersecurity.
CASY & MSCCN offer their sincere thanks and deepest gratitude to IBM for their continued support and hospitality.

The May MSEJ is LIVE!

In this edition, we are looking forward to summer. We have information about why (and where) our military youth could work this summer, and one of our amazing Employment Specialists, Star, provides a great summer reading option for transitioning service members and their families!

As always, the MSEJ includes our Veteran and Spouse Success stories because we love to brag about our job seekers’ successes!

One of our writing internship members, Adam explains how to apply hurry up and wait to the civilian job search, and regular writer Amanda follows up on her article about working abroad with a reflection on determining when it’s right to geobach for your career.
