NASA Awards $96 Million to U.S. Small Businesses for Tech Research and Development
As part of its 2017 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, NASA has selected 128 proposals from American small businesses to advance research and technology.  These selections support NASA's future space exploration missions, while also benefiting the US economy.
NASA Outlines New Lunar Science and Human Exploration Missions

As part of the President's fiscal year  2019 budget proposal , NASA is planning a new Moon-focused exploration campaign that starts with a series of progressive commercial robotic missions.  "The Moon will play an important role in expanding human presence deeper into the solar system," says Bill Gerstenmaier, associate administrator of the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington. "Coupled with the capabilities enabled by the Lunar Orbital Platform-Gateway, these missions will usher in a new era of exploration of the Moon and its resources, and provide a training ground for human missions to Mars."

It's surprising how little information is out there to help someone just starting a CubeSat project! CubeSat101: Basic Concepts and Processes for First-Time CubeSat Developers was created to lay out everything you need to take a great CubeSat idea and make it into an actual spacecraft that is launched into orbit. While it stands as a good reference for anyone involved in the CubeSat world, this guide was written for first-time CubeSat developers, and especially for CubeSats being developed at educational institutions.

4S Symposium

Small satellites beyond boundaries is the special topic for the first day of the 4S Symposium scheduled for 2018, although any contribution on small satellites for space exploration is warmly welcome. The remaining program will also cover technical sessions as: mission and system analysis; applications such as Earth observation, science, telecommunication and navigation; new technologies at system, sub-system and component level. A special session will be dedicated to access to space of Small Satellites, as launchers, platform cross-compatibility.
