Shelter News
We have a number of special needs cats in the shelter, and two are especially thriving with the good care they are receiving.   Silver, our new cerebellar hypoplasia cat, is doing well with his condition.  He's young and adorable.

Sophie Belle, one of our diabetic cats, has gone into remission on a managed diet, and is hopefully being adopted this week.

We have a cute new donation board, thanks to our technician Liz, who had it made for us.

"Meow and Meet Room".  We are turning one of the shelter rooms into a visiting room for potential adopters.  This room will be open so that adopters interested in a cat can interact with it there privately.  The room should be ready to use at the beginning of June.
Foster Kitten Supply
Donation Drive
Ends May 18th
We continue to have more kittens, pregnant cats, and nursing moms come into the shelter.  Our foster parents are essential in caring for them, and we are having a kitten shower to help them with needed supplies. Your support will really make a difference.   Above is a list of items that are needed, both small and large.   You may also find it on Amazon Smile .  It is very easy to order there, and all items can be shipped directly to the shelter.  You can order with Amazon Prime by the 16th and have it reach us in time.  We have extended the deadline and are now accepting donations until May 18. The supplies will be distributed to all our dedicated foster parents at the upcoming kitten shower this Sunday.
Please consider donating some of the items that are needed for these youngsters and their moms.

Paws on the Green
Golf Tournament
September 14, 2018
You can now register security on-line for our next Paws on the Green Charity Golf which will be held on  Friday, September 14, 2018.  We will again host the tournament at Evergreen golf course.
The pricing is the same as our 2016 tourney.  Individual player registrations are $125.00, and sponsorships start at $225.00 for a hole sponsor.  There are a number of levels of sponsorship...please consider a contribution.  Luncheon is included with all sponsorships.  Each  sponsor will have a sign made up with a picture of his or her cat, and will be able to take it home.  Hole sponsor signs will be displayed at individual holes on the course.  There will also be a silent auction.

This is a great way to enjoy a wonderful fall day on the greens in a lovely setting, and support the cats at the same time.  You do not need to play in order to contribute.  Sponsorships are available for both players and non-players.

Click here to register securely on-line.

Clinic at Cat Care
The clinic staff never know what challenges they might face.   They saw this beautiful tuxedo recently after she spent a day fishing with her family.  She either could not resist the toy-like qualities of the bait, or maybe she decided to snag the fish for herself .... either way, it did not end well for Lucy. She got a fishhook stuck in her lower jaw! The owners were so thankful for the Clinic - the staff was able to sedate Lucy, remove the hook, and get her some pain relief. She has recovered quite nicely.

Olive
Dr. Servis, a certified veterinary acupuncturist, is doing some relief work for us in the Clinic.  She also does cold laser therapy.  She used both treatments on shelter cats Buddy (an adorable blue eyed boy who was born without hips!) as well as Olive, and is looking forward to working  more with our kitties.

Opt to Adopt Cymba
Cymba is ready for his forever home!   He is a sweet young guy looking for a place to call his own.   Cymba was adopted from another rescue organization as a kitten along with his brother.  He lived happily in a home with his sibling and another cat.   When their person was unable to keep them, all three cats were brought to Cat Care Society.   However, a family member then came in and took Cymba's brother home.   Cymba is very sweet, and gets along well with other cats.   He is a bit shy, and does better having another cat in the same home.   It would be wonderful if he could be adopted with his housemate Ritz, but he will do fine even if they go to separate homes.   Come in and meet Cymba today... he's waiting for you!
