Wednesday night a team of three staff and students from the HSA High School presented information to our current 8th grade students and their parents as they make the preparations for their first year of high school this fall. Our guest shared an informative presentation and answered many questions about the anticipation of high school. They also went over what Horizon high school will be offering to the students, including our new "three Career Pathways; Engineering, Health, and Computer Science" for next year. This allowed parents and students to get many of their questions answered about the years ahead.
Special thanks to our guest from the high school for answering our parents questions

CYSP Girls Lock-in
Last Friday, March 9th, a few of our students participating in this year's CYSP had a girls lock-in. During the event students were able to fulfill some of their requirements such as character education and physical activity. Students also had a chance to get ahead on their book report and and get questions answered by their mentor. After a long day students rolled out their sleeping bags and enjoyed movies like Leap and Benji and fell asleep to the sound of laughter. There are only a few weeks left of the program and we are so proud of our students as they work to complete their goals.
Special thanks to our CYSP mentors and teachers who chaperoned to help students complete CYSP task!
