Dear Parent/Guardian,

As we prepare for the 2018-19 school year, I would like to share some news with you about next year's staffing.  One of our third-grade teachers, two junior high teachers, and our Spanish teacher will be leaving St. Cletus at the end of this school year.  Ms. Michelle Overton, Mrs. Hallie Fahey, Ms. Andrea Smith, and Ms. Elena Ortiz have decided to pursue teaching positions in public education and/or other teaching advancement opportunities.  I extend my sincere thanks to these teachers for their wonderful contributions to St. Cletus and offer my best wishes for success in their new career endeavors.

Please be assured of my commitment to continuing the development and enrichment of our junior high program with excellent teachers (new and returning), a robust technology platform, improved science and math initiatives, and the continued implementation of STEM into the classroom.  Our fifth-grade students will also be introduced to exciting new technology starting next year, including Chromebooks, which will help our students develop their skills in preparation for their upcoming junior high experience.

As you know, St. Cletus School is committed to academic excellence, Catholic identity, and our school motto of "Faith, Family and Future."  I am committed to hiring teachers who will provide the best academic opportunities for our students and am confident we are moving forward to a great new school year in 2018-19.

This Sunday, May 20, is our Open House/Registration Day.  We are holding school tours for prospective school families and will distribute our required registration documents for returning and new families.  Your attendance will greatly help us with our registration process.  We will also have our Uniform Exchange and Lost & Found tables available for browsing and shopping.  I do hope to see you this Sunday at our Open House!

Sincerely,

Thomas M. Chinske
Principal, St. Cletus School
