Upcoming events and other information

Local variance criteria by-law

Town staff are drafting a local variance criteria by-law that will respect neighbourhood character.
The proposed by-law would implement one of the conditions of the town's Residential Character Study, and improve the scope of the decision-making process for the Committee of Adjustment. Join us at a public meeting on April 19 for more information.
Help control invasive insects

Gypsy moth and cankerworm populations are expected to be extremely high this year.  Fortunately the town has a mitigation plan to control infestation in town woodlands. Join us on April 10 at 6 p.m. at QEPCCC to learn what the town is doing and what you can do to help stop these insects from harming your trees.
Council business at Town Hall

The next Town Council meeting takes place Tuesday, April 3 at 7 p.m.  Agenda  items include a flood mitigation progress report and a number of reports related to the redevelopment of the former hospital site.  Council will also consider options to fill the vacancy created by resignation of Ward 4 Councillor Roger LapworthJoin us in person or watch the meeting live on our YouTube channel
