GENERAL
SPIRIT PACK PICKUP
If you ordered a Spirit Pack or Spirit Wear package at registration, you may pick them up as follows: 9th and 10th grades are TODAY between 2:00 and 4:00 pm; 11th and 12th grades are TOMORROW, Sept. 30 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Enter at driveway No. 2 and pick up your items in front of the gym.

HUNGRY STUDENTS ALERT
Now through winter break, the cafeteria is offering curbside pickup for FREE breakfast and lunch every school day from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. This program is open to any student 18 and under and recipients do not need to be enrolled in PVPUSD. No pre-order is required. All meals include an entrée, choice of milk and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Menus are at pvpusdschoolnutrition.net.
 
NHS
If you are a prospective member for National Honor Society, remember that your candidate information package and supporting evidence must be submitted via TEAMS no later than Thursday, Oct. 1 by 3:00 pm. Late packets not accepted.
 
SENIOR PHOTOS
PSS Imaging will be on campus now through Thursday, Oct. 8 to photograph those seniors who have made an appointment. Contact PSS Imaging at (714) 630-7785 or (714) 822-5412 to schedule an appointment. Don't delay-after Oct. 8, you have to go to the studio in Anaheim for pictures.
 
SNHS
Any juniors or seniors interested in joining the Science National Honor Society, fill out the application here by Friday, Oct. 9 to secure a spot.
 
LIBRARY HOURS
The library is open to pick up textbooks, outside reading books and workbooks from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm every school day. Please stop at the Main Office before coming down. You may also call Ms. Gutierrez at (310) 377-4888 x42602 with reference questions and book suggestions.
 
SAT SEPTEMBER TEST
PV High will NOT be a SAT testing site in September. Students and families who signed up for that testing date will be notified directly by email from the College Board of the closure.

LEVEL DOWN/DROP
If you need to request a level down or drop a class, talk to your counselor. There is a link on Pen's website under Panther Picks or you may go to the counseling home page and select your counselor's form.
 
NEED TO TALK?
If you want to speak to one of our Student Support Specialists/Sage, go to Pen's website (pvphs.pvpusd.net) where there is a link under Panther Picks. You may also find out more on the counseling page on the website.
 
STUDENT TUTORS NEEDED
You can help PVPUSD students with their academic hurdles and earn money at the same time. Fill out the form and email it to Mrs. Juge at [email protected]. There will be a tutor list here at Pen and it will also be provided to other schools in the District as well.

COLLEGE CAREER CENTER
COLLEGE KNOWLEDGE SERIES
The next topic for the College Knowledge Series will be Out of State Public Colleges presented by James Gilbey of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign TODAY at 6:30 pm. Mr. Gilbrey will cover the benefits of going to an out of state college, the myths and realities of the experience, in addition to the cost. Registration is required and may be done here. Deadline to register is TODAY at 10 am. The link will be sent to registrants this afternoon.
 
The College Knowledge Series continues this Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 6:00 pm with How to Complete the FARSA with a detailed presentation by Jessica Medina of USC. FARSA opens on Oct. 1. Registration is required by TOMORROW, Sept. 30 at 5:00 pm and may be done here. The link will be sent to registrants on Wednesday afternoon.
 
VIRTUAL COLLEGE REP VISITS
The CCC has scheduled virtual college visits through November. Two to three schools will be combined per visit and all meetings are in conjunction with PVHS. You must register on Naviance by 3:00 pm the before the event in order to attend. Teacher permission for visits scheduled during class time must be obtained by the Friday before the visit. Included in this coming week's visits are the University of Miami; University of Tampa; Cal Poly San Luis Obispo; Indiana University; Dartmouth; Chapman; University of Toronto; Seton Hall; UC Santa Barbara; and UC San Diego.
