RELIGIOUS SCHOOL UPDATE

From Morah Gabriella, 5th/6th Grade Hebrew Teacher and 5th Grade Judaica Teacher :

"Tu B'shvat is also called "Rosh HaShanah La'Ilanot", literally "New Year of the Trees."
My memory of Tu B'shvat while I was growing up in Israel was wearing a floral crown and taking a basket containing dried fruit to school. Through the process of making the floral crowns we learned Hebrew words related to Tu B'shvat and heard fun Tu B'shvat songs.
Happy Tu B'Shvat Everyone!"

FROM THE PRESIDENT
We’ve reached the halfway point toward our goal of 100% member participation in our annual Temple Shalom pledge drive and I hope today will be the day that you will donate! Mike Rosenberg, one of the founders of Temple Shalom and a long-standing Board Member, has presented us with a challenge that we can only achieve with your help.  If we reach 100% member participation in our annual pledge drive by the end of February, he will donate an additional $5,000  because he knows how important it is for every one of us to invest in sustaining and growing our community.

As you consider making your donation, know that all contributions, at any level , are greatly appreciated and fully deductible as a charitable donation. You can   click here  to donate with a credit card or if you would prefer to send in a check that's fine as well.

Thank you!
