Dreaming of summer? Grab your calendar and start filling in the great events happening for kids and teens at the library this summer. And don't forget we continue our awesome First Step STEM events for preschoolers and Readmobile visits through April & May.

Readmobile Visits Continue!
The Readmobile delivers learning, literacy, and fun with even more site visits in April. Check the Readmobile page for more information and the schedule of visits.
The Readmobile vehicle and start-up collection were funded by the Diane J. Sachs Trust and a grant from the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.
First Step STEM Events for Preschoolers
Engage
your child's natural curiosity at the library with exciting pop-in events featuring preschool-friendly Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities! Activities could include sending objects through a wind tunnel, programming a code-a-pillar, or creating a gear set! All events are free and open to the public and take place at each library this spring and summer.
First Step STEM events are funded in part with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education using federal funding, CFDA 45.310 - Library Services and Technology Act, Grants to States Program (LS-00-17-0024-17).
Create Together at the Savage Library
As a family, share creative time together. Create Together classes occur monthly and encourage adults and their school age kids to enjoy creativity together while learning from a local artist.

on Sat 4/14 from 1:00-3:00pm. Registration is not required.

Spring Early Literacy Classes
& Storytimes
Early literacy is what your child needs to know about reading and writing before they learn to read & write. Let the library help develop your child's early literacy skills with the five practices of Talk, Sing, Read, Write, & Play at our Early Literacy classes and storytimes

Free Floral Corsage and Boutonniere Classes at Jordan & Belle Plaine for High Schoolers
Design your own wrist corsage and boutonniere just in time for prom! An experienced florist will walk you through the basic steps and help you create a beautiful corsage and boutonniere unique to your style. By the end of the class each person will leave with a matching wrist corsage and boutonniere. Registration is required and limited to 15 spots and registration opens on Mon 4/2 at 10am
Volunteer at the Library this summer!
If you are 12 years old or older, you are eligible to volunteer at the library this summer, helping out at events and staffing the registration desk.
