Dear Families,

Happy Easter and April! Families with children in rising K4 - 6th grade should have received Vacation Bible School information in the mail. If you did not receive a letter, I have extras. The registration deadline is Friday, May 4. You can register online or through the mailed registration form. The cost of VBS this year is $30. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please email me or call me at 282.3103.

Your family should have also received a letter in the mail from me, The Rev. Kellie Wilson, and Hannah Flack about Safe Guarding God's People Training. Please help us by attending one of the trainings if you have not already. The certificate lasts for five years. If you are uncertain about whether you are up-to-date, I have records of who has been trained and can let you know if you need to take the class again. In April, there are two trainings: Sunday, April 15, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM and Monday, April 23, from 12 noon - 3:00 PM, both at Christ Church Episcopal School. You can register online. Thank you for helping us provide a safe environment for all children at Christ Church. I hope to see all of your children's sweet faces this Sunday!

Blessings,
Hedrick Lewis
Director of Children's Ministries

April 15: Lesson 31: Paul Spreads the Good News
April 22: Lesson 32: The City of God
April 28: Lesson 33: Going to Church

Upcoming Events

UTO (United Thank Offering): Sunday, April 8, 9:30 - 10:15 AM (Sunday School Hour)
During Sunday School, we will hand out UTO (United Thank Offering) boxes. Through UTO, individuals are invited to embrace and deepen a personal daily spiritual discipline of gratitude. UTO encourages people to notice the good things that happen each day, give thanks to God for those blessings, and make an offering for each blessing using their UTO box. Please encourage your children to place money in their boxes to help others who are in need. The children can place their boxes in the baskets at church and chapel on May 6.

5th Grade Bridge Retreat: April 28 - 29, Camp Gravatt, Aiken SC
Registration Deadline: Sunday, April 8
This year's theme is Whoa... What? Wow! This retreat allows 5th graders to experience a shorter version of a youth retreat with children their own age. Cost: $80. Register online. Please let Hedrick Lewis, 282.3103, know if your child plans to attend.

Come celebrate the restoration of our church! Sunday, April 29, during the 10:30 AM service
I hope you will be able to join our church family for this special Sunday! The Bishop will be here to celebrate the restored church, and everyone is invited to a reception on the lawn after the service. There will be food, live music, and an art activity for the children to take part in during the celebration.

Finger Play of the Month

Five Little Kites
Five little kites went out to play.
The first kite said, "It's a windy day!"
The second kite said, "Look at me! Look at me!"
The third kite said, "Watch out for that tree!"
The fourth kite said, "Let's fly to the sun."
The fifth kite said, "What fun! What fun!"
Then whoosh went the wind, and it blew all the kites.
Then they danced in the sky and flew out of sight!

Please Welcome the Parish's Newest Bundle of Joy!
