We're proud to share that 8-koi was officially welcomed as a partner to the
Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP)
on February 14th. We join over 335 MSEP employers who've helped to hire more than 112,000 military spouses!
MSEP is part of DoD's broader Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) initiative, which seeks to strengthen the education and career opportunities of military spouses by providing career exploration opportunities to help them understand their skills, interests, and goals; education and training to help them identify academic, licensing, or credentialing requirements that can help them reach their career goals; employment readiness assistance to optimize their self-marketing skills; and employment connections that help them find and maintain a rewarding career.

Let's talk tech!
Did you know that cybersecurity ranks at the top of the list for global risks? According to the
World Economic Forum's 2018 Global Risks Report
, cyber vulnerabilities are an equal match to political tensions, social inequalities, and environmental dangers.
A simple computer virus can wreak havoc on small and large networks alike, compromising sensitive data and incurring significant costs. While you may rely on fortified government systems where you sit on a daily basis, we can all do more to ensure we protect both personal and work infrastructures with these simple tips:
- Use strong passwords and change them regularly.
- Always update your computer, phone, and other Internet-connected devices to patch known security issues.
- Use virus and malware scanners often (there are plenty of free options).
- Be cautious about opening suspicious emails and clicking on pop-ups.
- Report any nefarious activity to your service providers and/or authorities as appropriate.
