While going down the aisle in the "Super Kroger, more than a grocery store" aisle I heard a short whistle. Looking up I see a young man about the age of my son (or grandson) pointing at me and waving from the end of the aisle. I point back at myself asking silently, "Me?". He points again and waves and I, following suit, again point at myself wondering if I recognize him. Finally, he dramatically points with his finger curved, as if it was around me. I look behind me and see a lady smiling. I suddenly realized his gestures were not for me after all but for her! "Oh man!", I loudly replied, "I haven't been whistled at in years and now I find out it wasn't even for me!" After saying that all three of us began to laugh! "Please pretend it was for me and whistle
again!" I proclaimed. With that, he did with gestures and all, smiling brightly. "Oh, thank you, you made my day!" I said, as the three of us all went our separate directions! (You can get away with that when you are 70 and your heart is pure!) I think I made his day too, for he felt important even in his short whistle!
I love the teaching of my friend, David Van Koevering, who blessed the Body of Christ as well as the world with his inventions, and amazing mind concerning "quantum physics"! He taught on the power of "Intent" and how it goes before us causing that in which we believe to take place! (I think I saw that take place in a fun way with the young man in Kroger's.) Whether you are a believer in Jesus Christ or not, "intent" will go before you and open a door. It can be for good or for evil. It's up to each of us what kind of intent we want to precede us. What door do you want opened?
This is a time of transition for each one of us. For some it is more of a transition than for others, but we are all in the process of change as we embrace it. My precious friend, Becky Van Koevering is in a major transition as she embraces David's recent move to Heaven. It's a time of discovering who she is now after many, many years of just backing David in his ministry. She needs us all now to back her in prayer! That's what the Body does! We are in a season in which we need to know who we are in Christ! (We are more than conquerors in Him!) The enemy would like us to believe that the situations we are in are too big and are overwhelming, so we don't continue the journey. The key is to embrace God with our whole trust. We don't have to figure out our path in the journey, only to say "yes" to the One who is our Path and Way! This is a season of extreme favor as well. And God is calling us to use this favor for His kingdom. Keep your heart right, agree with Heaven's purposes and watch God move on your behalf! Intend for favor to proceed you! (Keep in mind the flipped of favor is jealousy. So, don't be moved by those who don't understand or are envious. Keep your focus and trust them to God!)
I see God at the end of our aisle of our journey waving and even giving us a whistle. He has good plans in mind for us! (Jer 29:11) He has equipped us for this season and time! (Eph 1) We just need to respond with our "Yes" so that He can activate our transformation! For the widow, He is our Husband (Isa 54:4,5)! For the fatherless, He is our Father! (Ps 68:5) For the lost or confused, He is our Wisdom and Way-maker! (Jn 14:6) If in lack, He is our Provision! (Phil 4:19) Feel weary and weak? He is our strength! (Phil 4:13) He is all we need, and we can trust Him! There may seem to be someone in the way of our wave and whistle, but let me tell you, He is More Than Enough and the whistle is for you!
