TRACEs Newsletter - March 2018
ALL PARTNER LEARNING COMMUNITY –
THANK YOU !
Many thanks to everyone who made the time to come to the gathering last week. While we haven’t gone through all the notes and evaluations thoroughly yet, I was able to skim through them. Generally, people were very happy having spent the day getting to know each other and sharing ideas for getting started. And, …we still have work to do especially around making this community safe and welcoming for all. If you are interested in debriefing the event with us next week, please let me know.
TIME SENSITIVE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH WARM SPRINGS!
Friends of TRACEs are often overheard expressing interest in learning more about and/or becoming more involved with the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. Now’s your chance to spend time with tribal members volunteering and supporting resilience promoting activities on the reservation:

- March 30 th (10am-2pm): Child Protective Services Center (CPSC)
Opening and Blessing , 1109 Wasco St., Warm Springs

- Anytime (Soon-ish): Purchase items for the CPSC via the Amazon.com wishlist or contact Alyssa.macy@wstribes.org re specific furniture needs.

- March 31 st : Easter Egg Hunt
For more details, contact rose.alarcon@wstribes.org

- April 5 th : Sock Hop
For details, contact carol.sahme@wstribes.org

Recently, I’ve had the honor of attending Warm Springs Native Aspirations Coalition meetings and I’m learning a lot. One of the things I’ve learned is that there is mutual interest in simply getting to know each other better. This is important on it’s own and also because one of TRACEs core strategies is “Strengthening Networks.”

Native Aspirations is focused on many resilience promoting factors including offering healthy ways to interact on the reservation. These activities are a fun way to connect with and get to know each other.
