  • Car-Riders: please be sure to pull all the way up to the last cone, so the maximum number of cars can be in the cone-zone for simultaneous unloading.
  • Walking students to the door: if you are parking in the church parking lot and walking your student to the door, please park in the northwest parking spaces behind the cones, so you do not have to cross parking lot traffic. The northwest corner is the section closest to the school parking lot and the church office/rectory.
  • Recess:
  • We introduced non-competitive soccer this week and we are discussing some other ideas for next week.
  • Please know that we all want recess to be fun. However, we also need to keep students safe and follow CDC guidelines. Although public parks are open, the below CDC guidelines for parks and park equipment are quite challenging in a K-8 environment.
  • Don’t visit crowded parks or campgrounds.
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from people you don’t live with.
  • Wear a mask.
  • Wash your hands often and don’t share items with people you don’t live with.
  • In communities where there is ongoing spread of COVID-19, playgrounds can be hard to keep safe because:
  • They are often crowded and could make social distancing difficult;
  • It can be difficult to keep surfaces clean and disinfected;
  • SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, can spread when young children touch contaminated objects, and then touch their eyes, nose, or mouth.
  • In order to decrease the chance of COVID-19 spread, park administrators should consider monitoring areas where people are likely to gather and consider temporary closure to support social distancing practices. These areas might include sports fields, playgrounds, skateparks, basketball courts, tennis courts, and picnic areas.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting outdoor areas:
  • Outdoor areas, like playgrounds in schools and parks generally require normal routine cleaning, but do not require disinfection.
  • Do not spray disinfectant on outdoor playgrounds - it is not an efficient use of supplies and is not proven to reduce risk of COVID-19 to the public.
  • High touch surfaces made of plastic or metal, such as grab bars and railings should be cleaned routinely.
  • Note: If you are using the St. Chris School playground after school, please be sure to follow the above guidelines. You should also know our playground is used most evenings by the general public.
  • Technology: we have upgraded our internet service to improve schoolwide connectivity and livestreaming.
  • At-home learners:
  • Please remember the School Dress Code still applies to you, as does other classroom etiquette such as no eating or sleeping.
  • Cell phones and other electronic devices are also not permitted during class time.
  • Handbook Consent Forms: please be sure to read our '20-21 Handbook and digitally sign your consent form using the below link. We must have a signature from every student and parent/guardian.
  • St. Christopher Forms
  • Free & Reduced Lunch: This information needs to be submitted each year. More details can be found on our website at the above St. Christopher Forms link.
  • Volunteers: we are still looking for more volunteers the help with lunch and recess from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. If you can help one day a week, please email Mrs. Bradley at kbradley@scpschool.org.
  • Substitute Teachers: No experience is necessary and we can use your help even if your availability is sporadic. If you are interested, please email Mrs. Bradley at kbradley@scpschool.org.

Thank you for your ongoing patience, support, and prayers!

St. Christopher, pray for us!

God Bless & Go Falcons!
