Hello Wildcat Families!
We made amazing progress on the playground this past weekend - the structure is up! A big THANK YOU to the more than 60 volunteers who donated their
time and/or food and beverages. You can see pictures of the progress

, and I think most volunteers would tell you they had a great time.
We also cleared the blacktop of dirt and cement, just in time for gravel and wood chip deliveries this week.
We are still looking to fill more than 80 volunteer
slots this coming weekend
(on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 35 more slots on Wednesday, May 23, 4pm - 8pm) or the HUGE task of laying the safety surface under the structure. Several opportunities remain to contribute food and beverage donations as well. See a full summary of open volunteer slots below and
We are optimistic that if we fill these volunteer roles, we can finish the job on May 23, nearly two weeks ahead of schedule! Your children and Whittier staff will
thank you.
So, grab a group of friends (or neighbors, family members, your high school babysitter, troop members...anyone who's willing!) and spend a few
hours this weekend or on the 23rd working together to get this project done. Go Wildcats!
