ent 2019 is now available from Living Compass, an Episcopal Wellness Initiative.
The Diocesan Partners in Ministries of Health will provide FREE copies to enhance your ministries of healing and health. They are intended
for individual or group study. A Facilitator Guide is available as a download through Living Compass.
A Spanish version will also be available.

Volunteer at the River City Food Bank and help support The Center at St. Matthew's
River City Food Bank, partnered with The Center at St. Matthew's, is expanding their hours to include the second and fourth Fridays each month. Volunteers are needed for 9-11 a.m. and 11-1 p.m. shifts.
Bagging food, sorting diapers, helping people choose food and building community with other volunteers and our guests -- that is what happens when serving at
River City Food Bank
.
Serving is a great way to get to know one another and share God's love with our neighbors in a very tangible way.

Book discussion on climate change - Wednesdays in Davis
Join with parishioners and friends from around the St. Martin's, Davis, community as they read Love in a Time of Climate Change. Author Sharon Delgado will be the featured speaker at the Yolo Interfaith Alliance for Climate Justice conference in March, and this book helps prepare for topics discussed at the conference.
This book "challenges readers to develop a loving response to climate change, which disproportionately harms the poor, threatens future generations, and damages God's creation," according to the publisher. Discussions of the book will be held on Wednesdays starting Jan. 23 to Feb. 28, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Stephen Ministry introduction in Roseville - Saturday, Feb. 23
St. John's, Roseville, is hosting an interdenominational introductory workshop on Stephen Ministry on
Saturday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Stephen Ministry Introductory Workshops are half-day events where you and others from your congregation can:

catch a vision for lay caring ministry;
-
experience a sample of Stephen Minister training; and
-
learn the basics about Stephen Ministry-how it works, the benefits it offers, and how to bring Stephen Ministry to your congregation.
You'll come away with a clear understanding of the difference Stephen Ministry makes and a vision for getting it started in your congregation.
Attending one of these workshops is not mandatory for beginning Stephen Ministry-but they are an excellent way to get your questions answered and learn what Stephen Ministry is all about. Learn more and register here.

Join The Belfry for their Fundraising Fiesta - Saturday, Feb 23
Put on your party hat and plan to join
The Belfry
for a night of food, fun, and incredible music performed by Mariachi Puente -- a Mariachi band made up of junior high and high school students.
All proceeds from the event will support The Belfry which is home to Lutheran Episcopal Campus Ministry to UC Davis and Lutheran Episcopal Volunteer Network (LEVN), a program of the Episcopal Service Corps.
The event is free with a suggested donation of $25 per person to help cover food and entertainment. This is our big fundraising event for the year, so we invite you to give generously. Please RSVP on Eventbrite.
