Jane's Walk Festival Weekend

Come and discover Durham's trails and tales during the annual Jane's Walk Festival Weekend from May 4 to 6. Jane's Walk is a movement of free, citizen-led walking conversations inspired by writer and activist Jane Jacobs, a tireless advocate for friendlier cities and community-building. Jane's Walk encourages people to share stories about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours. Jane's Walk keeps Jane Jacob's legacy alive by walking together and making space for every person to observe, reflect, share, question and collectively re-imagine our communities.

This year's weekend features new and returning walk locations in Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville/Clarington, and Port Perry. Visit the Jane's Walk Facebook page for more information on this year's events.
