In 1868, the To
wn of Belmont decided to open its first public library. Achieved through the devoted work of all the Library staff, library volunteers, and the support of our patrons, our sesquicentennial anniversary deserves its moment of celebration. Please join the Library, the Belmont Garden Club, Belmont Library Foundation, The Belmont Historical Society, and The Friends of The Belmont Public Library next weekend for
Books in Bloom.
Starting the evening of Friday, March 2nd more than twenty floral arrangements inspired by popular books will be on display. Talented members of the Belmont Garden Club will lend their expertise and creativity to bring books of all varieties to life, from classic works of fiction, current bestsellers to time-honored children's books. The fabulous Belmont Junior Gardeners will also be participating with their own creations.
The mission of the recently reformed Belmont Library Foundation is to build on our vision for a new public library for Belmont. This is the time to reflect on the successes of our past while focusing on our future. We hope to see you at one of our Books in Bloom events, read on for more details.
With Warm Regards,
Peter J. Struzziero
