Special Planning Commission Meeting
Public Hearing To Receive Input on Juan Hernandez - MH Medical Properties (Lillian Commons) project

7:00 P.M.

The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing to receive input on the proposed GPA2019-0005/ZA2019-0016/SD2019-0007/EA2019-0023: Juan Hernandez – MH Medical Properties (Lillian Commons) project as stated above.

Lillian Commons proposes construction of an urgent care facility; medical building; medical office/hospital; a three-story parking garage with 500 spaces; a commercial retail/restaurant building; and a maximum 200-unit multi-family residential development. This project requires a General Plan change from Service Commercial to Mixed-Use Flex and the creation of a Planned Development zoning district and associated Master Plan. The results of this Planning Commission meeting will be a recommendation to City Council.  City Council makes the final decision on this application.  It is anticipated City Council will hear this application in October or November.
Details about the individual permit applications, plans and environmental analysis information can be located on the project page.

The Planning Commission meeting will be held via video conference and is open to the public. All interested persons may participate and be heard by joining the video conference at: http://bit.ly/092920PlanningCommissionMtg

Launch of Sidewalk Saturdays
South Sidewalk of East 3rd Street
10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.

Our Morgan Hill Economic Development team is happy to announce the launch of Sidewalk Saturdays, an outdoor pop up retail marketplace along the south sidewalk of East 3rd Street between Monterey Road and Depot Street, starting October 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. through the end of the year, weather permitting. There will be no street closures.

This retailer’s market is part of the City of Morgan Hill’s Economic Recovery Plan to support businesses during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place. Sidewalk Saturdays will provide non-food retailers an opportunity to showcase and sell their wares while at the same time creating a street activation that will attract or encourage visitors to stay longer and shop in Downtown. This program is part of the City’s Buy Local campaign, encouraging residents to support local businesses. We are inviting Downtown retailers to participate in Sidewalk Saturdays by activating their sidewalks with displays and extend the energy of Sidewalk Saturday’s throughout Downtown.
