A WORD FROM THE ED!
"Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend." – Theophrastus.

As the seasons change and the days get shorter, I am reminded of time and how quickly it seems to move. It almost feels like yesterday when the world went into shock as schools and businesses closed, and homes became schools, offices, and more. There is so much great work that has been accomplished since then, and yet so much left to do. We are thinking everyday of new and innovative ways to serve and impact children and families, address (and erase) issues of inequity, and determine new visions, strategies and actions. We are excited to announce soon some of those plans. We are not only spending time connected to a world where every child can experience the arts, we are investing that time, because this is something we greatly believe in and holds high value. As we get closer to days of celebrating with family, relaxing, and reflecting on this year, ask yourself how you spent your time, how you invested your time? We look forward to spending time with all of you in the future around the work of creating and experiencing high quality arts programs and opportunities. We thank you for your continued support!

SURVIVOR STORIES
"In 2014, while pregnant with my second daughter, I found a puffy spot in my armpit. I told a doctor and they told me not to worry about it because I was pregnant. A little while later, I felt a lump in my breast. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at stage 2/3. I learned how to do self exams as a teenager, and that’s what saved my life. Early detection saves lives so practice self exams so that you know what your normal is!"

~Natalie, Survivor
"On April 3, 2007, at the age of 39, I discovered a lump in my left breast. I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer which required six months of aggressive chemotherapy and radiation. Fast forward to 2020, I am thankful to say I am cancer free! My faith, family and friends are the reason I am alive and thriving today."

"I am a Survivor!"
