Spring has FINALLY sprung! Or did we just go straight to summer? Either way, it's that time of year to start planning for professional development in the next school year, and we've got you covered!

From Nefertiti Poyner: "I have a confession to make. I wasn't sure if I wanted to share this with the 'world,' but I think I will go ahead and take the risk. My confession - I do not like social media."

It is our hope that, when an early childhood program’s mission, values, and policies are in line with its practices to promote resilience and social and emotional health, the DECA Program will help effect positive short-term and long-term outcomes at these three levels...

Take a quick peek at this video featuring national trainer, Nefertiti Poyner, as she shares a few simple ideas for parents for building resilience in the home. Nefertiti is joined by a special guest in this clip so be sure to check it out!

Join us! One of the items on the Devereux Adult Resilience Survey (DARS) is, “I seek out new knowledge.” The DCRC team has committed to putting a strategy in place for this item, resulting in the formation of the DCRC Book Club. We want to share a little bit about the books that we have read and invite you to join our club!

Hear from a fellow DECA user! Kimberly Polstein, Director of Social and Emotional Development Services at the Capital District Child Care Council, sheds light on how her program utilizes the DECA Program and other DCRC resources.

The Devereux Center for Resilient Children is now offering technical assistance to support programs using the e-DECA in best utilizing their data. Data analysis reports can be customized to best meet programs’ specific needs around progress monitoring and outcome reporting.
