Bishop's Orchards in Guilford Completes 2nd Major Solar Project
Bishop's Orchards in Guilford recently completed its second major solar project. Both were done by Pat Munger Construction Co. and means that 80 percent of Bishop's annual energy consumption will be solar generated.

The new 360 kW installation was performed with collaboration between Munger's sustainable energy partner, Independence Solar. Read More 

VA Medical Center to Open Outpatient Facility in Orange 
An industrial parcel at 205 and 231 Indian River Road that sold for $3.09 million is being developed for the VA Medical Center to be used for outpatient services, First Selectman Jim Zeoli said.

Another adjacent lot is under contract and pending zoning approval to become an assisted living and memory facility unrelated to the VA, Zeoli said. Read More

New Economic Development Director Appointed in West Haven 
West Haven Mayor Nancy R. Rossi has appointed city native Fred A. Messore to the position of commissioner of planning and development. Messore, whose first day of work is Monday, Jan. 29, succeeds Joseph A. Riccio Jr., who held the post for the past four years. Read More
