NAP Forum Keynote Speaker Highlight: Rebecca Freeman, Ph.D., RN, PMP
Rebecca Freeman, Ph.D., RN, PMP is the interim Chief Nursing Information Officer for the University of Vermont Health Network. She is also the Owner and Principal Consultant of R Freeman and Associates. Dr. Freeman was previously the Chief Nursing Officer of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC). With the ONC, Dr. Freeman provides nursing leadership for comprehensive initiatives, focusing on nursing practice, administration, research, and partnerships in support of Health IT enabled patient care. She also serves as a liaison to internal and external communities.

She develops, supports, and implements innovations in the design and evaluation of health IT as it relates to clinical nursing practice. She loves to facilitate change, enhance practice, and integrate interdisciplinary practice and research in the medical record. Her ultimate goal is to enhance care and satisfaction for the clinician and optimize care/outcomes/satisfaction for patients, through the use of Health Information Technology.

We are excited to share that Dr. Freeman will be co-presenting with Dr. Connie Delaney for our Friday afternoon keynote session at the Forum coming to Atlanta in April.

National Academies of Practice Celebrates April's National Interprofessional Health Care Month
Lexington, KY--The National Academies of Practice (NAP), representing distinguished practitioners, scholars and public policy advocates from 14 health care professions, celebrates April’s National Interprofessional Health Care Month.

With NAP’s 2018 Annual Meeting & Forum falling within the month of April, the group will be celebrating at the Forum this year.

NAP members are encouraged to tweet using the official campaign hashtag, #IPHCMonth, during the month of April to spread awareness.
