Important  Updates
Landscaping:

The work on Wheatlands Pkwy in front of the school has been completed. Ornamental grasses that were causing sight line issues at the cross walk have been removed and replaced with river rock and cobblestone.

Work will soon begin along Wheatlands Pkwy from Southlands Pkwy to Ider St. Mulch will be replaced with river rock in the medians and tree lawns.

From Cox Landscaping:

We are getting reports from the field staff that due to the high winds over the last few weeks, an excessive amount of trash on the properties is occurring.  We have attempted to double our efforts in getting the trash removed, however, we are still finding excessive amounts of trash.  The trash we are finding seems to come from home development and also from resident trash not secure and blowing in the wind.  Outdoor grill tarps/covers, large boxes, bags of trash and rubbish are all in the common areas.  We will continue to do our best to keep up with this.

Spring Painting and Staining
Spring is official here and it is time to start thinking about applying additional stain or paint to keep your home, deck and fence looking great and in compliance with the Metro District standards.

Regular physical and aesthetic maintenance of fencing is required. All fences must be stained using one of the approved stain colors shown on Schedule 2 of the covenant document and sealed with a clear waterproof sealant.

Decks may be finished with clear semi- transparent sealer, stained to match a Cedar tone, an oil-based wood finish or a similar product that matches. The deck may also be painted to match the body or trim color of the home.

Please review the covenant document here for the full list of painting/staining requirements.
Please call if you have any questions 303.915.9297.

Covenant Enforcement:

The covenant enforcement contract with Community Preservation Specialists Inc. has been terminated.  The Wheatlands Metropolitan Board has awarded the contract to
AMI - Advanced Management. Look for more detailed information to come out in the next week or so.

Pool Season:

Pool season will be here before you know it. New chairs and tables have been ordered for the upcoming season. The pool will be closed until 2pm on the following dates due to swim meets. June 2nd, June 9th and June 30th. New this year, you will be able to fill out the yearly paperwork online. To fill out your paperwork click here.
Park Update
The Wheatlands Metropolitan District formed a separate park committee to allow decisions regarding the park at S. Kewaunee Way and Wheatlands Parkway to be made quickly and without needing a quorum of the board.  The park committee met in April with the Architerra Group to review the options for the park structures.  The Architerra group presented their ideas for the restroom, park shelter and playground equipment.  They committed to having 50% of the construction documents to the committee by April 16th.

Below is phase 1 of the park that will be completed. If everything goes as planned we are hoping for construction to begin the middle of November with a completion date of early spring.
