Bringing Resources to Light
Gale Computer Database

Join us each month as we illuminate a fantastic resource from Vermont Online Library. This episode: Gale's Computer Database ( http://www.vtonlinelib.org/all.php and click on "Computer Database").

Are you curious about Bitcoin and its underlying technology BlockChain? (Why does Bitcoin have value anyways?) You may have patrons asking how they can keep their accounts secure online, and a quick search in this resource will provide good cybersecurity information. Try searching bee colony activity and improvements in artificial intelligence (AI) to learn how computer experts are taking lessons from the natural world. Ever wonder how criminals are using social engineering to manipulate unsuspecting citizens into giving up personal information? With a quick search in Gale's Computer Database, you can provide your patrons with up-to-date computer and technology information. It's another way libraries provide more than patrons expect!

Libraries offer many resources to their patrons. Consider surprising patrons by telling them about the Computer Database - available for free from your library through Vermont Online Library!
