Nasca to Deliver GUSOM Commencement Address

Stephen Mitchell, MD, MBA, dean for medical education at the School of Medicine, delivered the commencement address at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine Class of 2018 commencement ceremony on May 11 in Rochester, Michigan.
Dybul to Receive Honorary Degree at Fairfield University
The Honorable Mark Dybul, MD (C'85, M'92), a professor of medicine and faculty co-director of the Center for Global Health and Quality at Georgetown University Medical Center, will receive an honorary doctor of science degree during the commencement exercises at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut on May 20.
In partnership with the Council on Diversity Affairs (CODA), Georgetown Women in Medicine (GWIM) launched the Women on the Walls campaign to increase the recognition and visibility of women leaders through portraits. Nominees for portraits do not need to be living, but must have made exceptional contributions in terms of research, education, service and/or clinical care.
