The Lake Wales Library Association - Friends of the Library will hold their annual Love Your Library Membership Drive Monday, February 11 through Friday, February 15.

Volunteers will will host Love Your Library tables at the library's main entrance and Children's Room entrance each day, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.  

All memberships, new or renewals, received by 3 p.m. Friday, February 15 will be placed in a drawing for one of our gift baskets.  

Gift baskets are donated by Norby's Steaks & Seafood Restaurant, L'Incantro Italian Restaurant and Crazy Fish Seafood Restaurant. In addition to some pretty cool swap, the gift baskets include gift certificates for these restaurants.

Take an opportunity to fill out a  Love Your Library Valentine.  Tell us why you love libraries!

February Local Artist Gallery

During the month of February the LW Public Library will by filled with artwork created by the amazing students from the Ridge.  

We are honored to host The Lake Wales Student Art Show for the 3rd year.

The Lake Wales Student Art Show is held in conjunction with the Lake Wales Art Council's 2019 Art Festival.  

This wonderful exhibit features works created by kindergartners though 12th graders from Lake Wales' public and private schools, Haines City High School, Frostproof Middle & Senior High School as well as homeschool students.

Don't miss the opportunity to see this exhibit that literally fills every corner of the library!

Cabinet of Curiosity

The Lake Wales Museum has created the Cabinet of Curiosity in the Lake Wales Public Library's main lobby.  The Cabinet of Curiosity contains examples of unusual items from the Lake Wales Museum's collection and our local history.  New items will frequently rotate into the Cabinet of Curiosity.

Sarasota Chef, Warren Caterson Returns to the LW Public Library

Chef Warren will present another wonderful cooking demonstration at the Lake Wales Public Library.  February's topic - Cooking with Wine.

Chef Warren's cooking demonstrations are filled with food history, great cooking tips, money saving ideas and he prepares a dish for all to taste.  He will visit the Lake Wales Public Library, Saturday, February 16, 3 p.m.  Please call 678-4004 to register for this free class.
