All parishioners are invited to come vote during the Pancake Breakfast on Palm Sunday. The 3 winners will be posted in the Narthex following the 10:30 Palm Sunday worship service- they'll win a prize! Grab a flyer for more details or contact Mary Beth at [email protected] .

These retreats are organized by a group of high school students from around our diocese that are part of a committee known as Parish Youth Ministries (or PYM). Event information and registration forms are available on the church website. Questions?

What do we do? We stay in hotel rooms and cottages at Shrine Mont, eat in the dining hall, meet with small peer-groups, have some free time to relax, and have a blast at the Saturday evening program.

March for Our Lives-To End Gun Violence, March 24, 2018
"March For Our Lives" is created , inspired , and led by students across the country who will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that has become all too familiar. "  Some of our St.James's families have expressed an interest to participate in the march in either Washington, D.C. or Richmond, VA on Saturday, March 24. Here is information to support your desire to engage in this courageous and worthy effort.

The Rev. Carmen Germino ([email protected] 203-314-3647) and the Rev. Hilary Streever ([email protected] 276-451-8809) plan to attend the March in Richmond to support our young people and this effort . If you'd like to rendezvous and march together, please email them in advance or text both of them on Saturday. Also, be on the look-out for Bishop Shannon Johnston and other  staff   members of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia . You can also post  on  the St. James's Youth Ministry Facebook page to coordinate with other St. Jamesers about the marches.  Unfortunately,  will be out of town for a family funeral, but I will be marching with you in spirit!

The Diocese of Virginia has compiled helpful resources and a place for you to RSVP: March for Our Lives Resources

Here are details about the March for Our Lives in Richmond (source: Facebook): Richmond area schools, community organizations, faith communities and more will come together on March 24  to stand in solidarity with the student-led National March For Our Lives event in Washington, DC. Too many of our city's and our region's children have been directly impacted by gun violence right here in Richmond, VA. Join us as we rally at 10 : 00 a.m.  on March 24   at MLK Jr. Middle School and march together across the MLK Bridge to the State Capitol. We will conclude the march at the Bell Tower. Register for the Richmond March here.
