Join Clear Language Lab at Literacy Works 
for this hands-on, interactive  training!

In this FREE workshop, you will:
  • Identify ways to make text you share clear using a plain language framework
  • Learn about tools to help you in your work
  • Improve a flyer or document of your own*
*Optional: Bring 3-5 copies of a document you would like to brainstorm about with others.

This training is ideal for both 
administrators  and  front line staff  creating or choosing client-facing materials as well as communication team members. Staff are welcome from any sector - healthcare, parent education, workforce development, legal, and others. Please feel free to share with other departments at your agency.

Presented by Melanie Sampson, Content Director at Clear Language Lab
Melanie has over 15 years of experience in the adult education sector here in Chicago, including teaching, tutor training, volunteer management and program administration. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her MA in linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University. She has also studied plain language principles at Simon Fraser University.
