Ever Tried to Cancel
a Meeting Registration and
Couldn't?
|
|
|
Many individuals sign up for a meeting on the member website and then need to cancel.
This is especially important for Small Meetings.
Sign in, then Register followed by Cancel using the same button at the bottom of the event description.
Works every time!
Right?
It turns out the that if the
EVENT IS FULL
when you go back to cancel, the Cancel button is missing replaced by "This event is full" notation.
No Button!
Yikes
.
So, if you need to cancel after the event is full
, please contact
membership@gnhw.org
to get it cancelled for you. It will be appreciated.
If it is not a bug, it must be a feature!

The Guild's public website upgrade from
Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 has been in progress since early December. Design is 75-80% complete with some content in place.
Work is being done in a sandbox on our host. At mid-year, it will be swapped out with the current site at
gnhw.org.
Completed objectives include:
- Refresh and modernize the look and feel of the website.
- Work well on all screen sizes from mobile phones to desktop computers.
- Work well on touch devices.
- Implement a hierarchal menu system (for phones and ease of maintenance).
- Implement a dead-simple image and file attachment process when creating pages, articles or discussion forum posts.
To be completed objectives (mid-year) include:
- Complete existing content migration—in process now.
- Create a more dynamic home page.
- Complete remaining 20% of design features.
- Swap out with the current site.
To be completed objectives (end-of-year) include:
- Re-activate a guild discussion forum.
- Integrate member and public website functions in one place at gnhw.org eliminating a second membership site.
- Install a simple single member login system to support access to current member functions (such as event registration, renewal, member profile, directory, etc) AND current restricted public content (such as Journal archives, SC minutes, discussion forums and other member-only content).
