Celebrate the Graduates

Today, May 12, we will recognize our high school and college graduates. Please join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of Jake Boyd, Adam Faires, and Kristina Kaiser.

Great Mission Opportunity

At 4pm on Wednesday, May 16 we'll join forces with the St. Louis Food Bank by packaging and sorting their donated food items. This is a great opportunity especially for our younger folks to help others in a hands-on fashion. Contact Rex at [email protected] for directions.

May 19 is a Big Saturday

Our schedule is packed solid on May 19! Immediately following worship we'll convene our annual congregational meeting. At that time we'll elect new officers (President Jenny Bosworth, Secretary Brona Sarchett, and Treasurer Michael Jennings). We'll also adopt our next budget at that meeting. Following the meeting, we'll gather in the fellowship hall for Sack 'em Saturday and a Salad Extravaganza! And by the way...our folks know how to make some great salads!!

The SuperKids and Songbirds are going to sing in worship on May 19th! Families, please bring children to practice at 5:00 on that Saturday. The song is fun and easy---so if your child has not had an opportunity to practice at SuperSaturday, they are still quite welcome to participate---the more the merrier!

FUN AT THE FARM JUNE 3

Everyone is invited to spend a casual afternoon at the Jennings Farm on Sunday, June 3rd. There will be toys, zip line, wagon ride, hammock and Max, the horse, ready to give rides. Adults will also find yard games, a place to hike or enjoy an afternoon on the patio.

Come anytime between 1:00 and 5:00 and please feel free to invite friends and family. There will be snacks and drinks for all. No potluck dinner this time, we'll save that for the Fall Festival.

SuperSaturday is now on summer break. But, we would be remiss without a huge thank you to all who have helped our children grow in beautiful ways. Thanks to the teachers, helpers, cooks and to parents and grandparents who have supported the children and the SuperSaturday program this year.

See you in the fall! Pam

Congratulations to Jordan Faires and Katie Buzard who were recently engaged. Jordan is an engineer for Ford Motor Company in Kansas City and Katie teaches elementary music in the Independence School District. We are so happy for you!

We also extend our congratulations to Angela Revell, who has completed her CDM/CFPP certification. She is now a certified dietary manager/certified food protection professional! Well done!
