What can we do in our communities to stand united against acts of hate, as they occur more frequently in our country?  In this E-News, NIOT shares a podcast highlighting the diverse stories of how the poster campaigns have become tools to combat hate.   We also highlight upcoming Bay Area opportunities in Novato and Berkeley to engage with the growing NIOT community.

Bay Area Communities - United Against Hate

When members of white supremacist groups began a campaign to hold rallies in Berkeley and Oakland, California, a group of community leaders came up with a way to make a statement that neo-nazis, their hatred and their ideas were not welcome in the East Bay.

Not In Our Town gathered the organizers of the poster project at our office in Downtown Oakland to discuss their efforts.  The conversation was captured in our first podcast.
